- On the back side of the blast cabinet there will be hold-down devices to hold parts (gears) in place while being shot peened.
- Hold-down device rotates with part fixture spindles and is spring loaded to allow for wear on fixtures.
- There is an encoder and sensors to monitor rotation on part fixtures and hold-down fixture.
- This device will stop gears from free spinning or flying off of fixtures while peening.
- Without this device you could not have a loose fit on the fixtures. Without a loose fit on fixtures operator could not load or unload parts.
- Hold-down device is operated pneumatically with parker air cylinders. Device is in the raised positions when table is being indexed to the next station.
- Device is in the lowered position during the blast cycle.
- There are sensors located on the hold-down unit for position and rotation. Index table will not index to the next position when in the down position.
Patented Part hold-down unit to keep parts from spinning during peening or de-burring. Easily replaceable fixturing.
