Shot Peening and Deburring Machines
Industrial Deburring Process and Equipment
Deburring machines are used to properly remove burrs, or sharp edges from: castings, drilled holes, cut grooves and other machining operations used to finish parts.
Air blast deburring machines are specifically used where precise blasting of burr removal is needed. A wide variety of deburring media is available for every deburring application.
Benefits of the Engineered Abrasives deburring machines:
- No surface warpage or distortion to your parts
- Parts are precisely deburred to assemble properly
- Can remove burrs where slurry type machines cannot get to.
- Removes burrs that are inconsistent in size
- Burrs are removed clean with no pitting on any surface.
- Parts are deburred with repeated parameters so all parts have the same finished look
- Deburring machine can be suction type or pressure
- Machine can be an indexing unit, single cell unit, conveyor unit, or CNC type
- Deburring media types can be: steel shot, cut wire, soft shot, plastic bead, glass bead, or ceramic bead
- Parts can be aluminum, steel forgings, or machine parts
- Deburring machines can have monitors to watch media flows or each nozzle
Steel Shot Indexing Machines
A patented index machine is a rotary table machine with a determined number of index stops or stations. Parts are loaded at each station every 60 degrees on table (ie. 6-station).
Plastic Media Conveyor
Patented continuous conveyor with 360 degree rotating head. Parts are placed on a variable speed continuous moving conveyor belt. (3/8” dia. Manganese wire mesh belt.) Parts enter the blasting chamber where they are moved under the blasting nozzles at a constant speed. The blasting nozzles consist of a patented 360-degree rotating head with multable nozzles attached.
Plastic Media Index
Plastic media is used to remove burrs from holes and burrs created when a part is machined. A plastic media index machine is a rotary table machine with a determined number of index stops or stations, with parts loaded at each station (ie. 6-station) parts are every 60 degrees on table. This machine is used for high volume part production.
